Global Health Summer Primer

Register for the Global Health in Family Medicine Summer Primer 2015
The DFCM Global Health program is pleased to announce that we will once again be offering the Global Health Summer Primer (GHSP), a one-week course open to family medicine residents and faculty, and allied health professionals, interested in enhancing their knowledge and skills in global health.
The GHSP aims to offer participants a broad overview of Global Health with specific relevance to primary care. We have assembled a diverse line-up of speakers with global health expertise.  

When: Mon., July 6 – Fri., July 10, 2015; 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily
Where: University of Toronto St. George (downtown Toronto) campus

Course themes
Some of the themes included in this course are:

•    Global health and primary care
•    Ethics of global health and service learning
•    Essentials of infectious diseases
•    HIV/AIDS care
•    Tuberculosis care
•    Caring for vulnerable populations
•    Global health partnerships
•    Career planning in global health

Residents & Allied Health Professionals:
Before May 1 2015: $750.00, after May 1 2015: $800.00                    

Clinicians & Faculty:
Before May 1 2015: $950.00, after May 1 2015: $1000.00
